Evsie aka Robin Grenville Evans

Robin Grenville-Evans is the ‘Goat’, of  ‘The Kitten and The Goat’.  Entirely self-taught, he’s been a professional cartoonist and illustrator for most of his working life, and his range of styles encompasses fantasy art, book and magazine illustration, corporate design and animation work. Every year,  companies both local and national, commission him to create their Christmas cards.

He is often asked to run cartoon workshops at The Pencil Museum in Keswick, and his mural work can be seen there on the outside of the building, a photo opportunity  favourite with tourists from all over the world.

Robin is also known as ‘Evsie, the Kendal's Kind Kartoonist’, for his quick sketches of people at weddings, corporate events, and family fun days. ‘Caricaturist’ is a term he steers clear of, however, as it suggests to people an artist who is going to make cruel fun of them, which is something that Evsie avoids, as he only does nice fun.   He know this is the way to go because he is always being invited back, and is a regular favourite at several prestigious venues, including The Lodore Falls Hotel and The Inn on the Lake.  You can also find him on the prom at Grange-Over-Sands during the summer months,  and regularly visits the shop for sketching days (dates will be displayed in the window, and on the site - or contact the shop)

In more recent years Robin has taken to animation like a duck to water.  He has been commissioned to create everything from short 5 second clips for websites to feature length moving scenery backdrops for stage shows and presentations.
