Clutch bag with scallop flap & wrist strap with bright dachshund print

A new fun little bag is a great quick little 'pick-me-up' when you are feeling under the weather. This is a perfect gift for dog lovers - fun loving adults - crazy kids - any one who needs a bit of colour in their life.

 

*** Bargain offer price *** - while I am finalising a project some of the bags are not up to scratch so are sold off at a reduced price.  It may be that I was not happy with where a pocket sat - or how the closure worked - and got changed in the final design.  You lucky people get a bargain if you are happy to accept that the stitching may not be quite right - or the pocket too high / low etc.

 

The outer fabric is a rustic brown that shows off the weave of the cotton.  It is printed with lines of little dachshund dogs wearing bright colour coats - pink - green - purple  - and on the inside we have a matching purple fabric with tiny little white flowers.  The wrist strap in in same purple fabric - with a gem set rivet to hold it neatly in place - the inner pocket is green to match to green coats.  All the top stitching is in pink. 

 

There is a D ring on a tab at the side and the wrist strap has a clip so it can be removed. On the back of the bag is a zipped pocket that has been lined with the purple flower fabric - and the zip slider has 2 little charms on it to make is easier to get hold of.  Each bag comes with it's own pin badge of the Barker & Crabbe logo.

 

The bag has been constructed in such a way that the base is shaped so that it puffs out to hold all your necessities neatly while the opening will not gape.  There is an inner pocket on the bag that has a dividing stitch line for all your bit of paper - tickets and such like.

 

With an overall size of - 8" at the opening - 5 1/2" deep - and the base puffs out to about 2 1/2".  The cotton part of the wrist strap is 5" flat (10" round) - and there is a gem rivet 1" from the clip - leaving an opening of 8" to slip over your hand

 

I have set a coordinating fabric tab with a D ring at  one end of the zip to make the end easy to grab hold of - and I have added a couple of little doggie theme charms to the zip slider for an extra bit of prettiness.

 

All the seams are fully enclosed so the inside is as neat as the outside - beautiful.

 

The fabrics are padded with a low loft fleece for softness and 'bounce' - and a firm stabiliser for strength and support.  I don't add any cardboard or plastic sheet - this makes the item fully washable at 30 

 

I only ever use 100% cotton fabrics - because it wears so much better - and I give the finished item a quick spray with a protective spray to resist the dirt.
